The Development Office: looking ahead
After a year of change and restructuring, the Development Office is looking into the future with a fresh perspective.
With more than eight new initiatives in addition to the existing activities that have been carried out for the last 14 years, the Development Office remains a strong actor in the field of EU-related services, projects and partnerships. These days, our vision is more focused on two main types of initiatives: EU projects as well as professional training courses.

Activities

Swiss fact finding mission

On 16 April, eight members of the Mission of Switzerland to the European Union took part in a tailor-made EU e-fact finding workshop organised by the Development Office. Through an interactive presentation by Luciano Morganti, Director of Crosscommunication, the participants were guided through the ‘jungle’ of EU-related information on the web.

Young leaders are getting creative

A short film competition on ‘Balkans Beyond Borders’ in Belgrade, the ‘See Visions’ art contests and exhibition in Sarajevo, a conference on the EU’s role in the Balkans taking place in Prishtina, a publication and panel discussion in Tirana on the challenges of achieving the status of an EU candidate country and a panel discussion, workshop and publication about the ‘EU - Umbrella of Different Nationalities’ in Skopje: this is just a brief overview of the creative joint activities which had been developed by the participants of the 4th Southeast Europe and the EU – Leadership Development Programme (LDP).
