The Classic three-week programme is specifically designed for professionals who have no previous knowledge of the EU or wish to refresh the knowledge they acquired some years ago.
First week
The first week will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the EU institutional and decision-making framework. The programme features workshops on information searches and communication skills as well as an introductory visit to the EU institutions.
Second and third week
The second and third week will focus on EU policy analysis and key reform initiatives as well as professional skills. A system of parallel sessions will allow participants to shape their own programme by choosing courses in accordance with their background, interests and professional needs.
During hands-on modules organised at the College of Europe in Bruges and the EU institutions in Brusselsr participants will be able practice EU negotiation and lobbying techniques and enhance their professional skills. Keynote speeches, exercises and panel debates on the challenges ahead for the EU at state complement the programme.
The College of Europe reserves the right to revise the structure until further notice.
What former participants say:
"The College of Europe offers a friendly atmosphere with on one hand enjoyable, safe and supportive yet challenging learning environment and on the other hand lots of really amusing social events. Since all that happens in the stunning Belgian city of Bruges, you certainly have time of your life!"
