One of the seminar’s essential features and added value is its highly international and intercultural dimension. The seminar and social activities offer an ideal context for the participants to extend their professional and personal network. The evenings are spent in the relaxed atmosphere of the residences or in the city with its summer terraces, squares and parks.

Guided tour of Bruges
During a visit by a professional guide, participants of all three programmes have the chance to stroll through the picturesque streets and discover the medevial charm of the world-famous city of Bruges.

BBQ dinner
The barbecue dinner at the Bruges campus has established itself as social highlight of the Intensive Seminar. The delegates of all three programmes mix and mingle with previous participants, speakers and organisers from the College of Europe in an informal and at the same time festive atmosphere.

Award ceremony
At the end of the seminar, each participant receives a certificate of attendance listing the different sessions, workshops and simulations in which he/she took part.

Farewell dinner
The seminar is traditionally being closed by a formal dinner in one of the historical venues of Bruges. Last year, participants were welcomed in the Provincial Court, the best example of how Bruges was renovated in neo-gothic style during the second half of the 19th century.
