The Intensive Seminar on the European Union takes place every summer on the campus of the College of Europe in the historical centre of the city of Bruges.
The different programme formulas of one, two or three weeks aim to provide participants with up-to-date knowledge of the EU decision-making framework and policy portfolio. With a focus on important know-how and practical information, the seminar is geared to improve participants’ professional skills and to enhance their performance when working in the EU arena.
For this purpose, the seminar brings together high level practitioners and academics coming from the College of Europe’s extensive network of EU specialists who are eager to share their expertise and experience in EU affairs.
Each year, a group of fifty to seventy highly motivated professionals from the public and private sectors, civil society and academia, representing over thirty countries worldwide, attend the training programmes of this seminar.
