Regulatory Impact Analysis Training with Jacobs & Associates (2006-2009)

Aim

Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) is widely accepted as a tool to achieve more effective and cost-efficient regulation. The aim of this one-week training course was to provide participants with an insight into the RIA process in order to better influence policy decisions. The programme had a practice-driven approach reconstituting real-life professional situations through:

  • interactive sessions on theoretical and practical aspects of RIA (principles of good regulation, putting RIA into practice, etc.);
  • concrete case studies to develop RIAs and discuss them with the experts/trainers.

Organisers

The programme was co-organised with Jacobs & Associates.

Participants

The course was designed for a maximum of 40 participants including officials and executives working in economic, social, and environmental fields coming from all over the world.

Trainers

Among the lecturing team were experienced public policy and RIA trainers from Jacobs & Associate and the College of Europe.
