On request of the European Space Agency, the College of Europe is providing ESA’s officials with a series of training sessions on the institutional framework and decision-making processes of the European Union. The deepening cooperation between the European Space Agency and the European Union engendered the emergence of a training need and the subsequent setting up of this specific training activity. The design of the programme and the calendar of activities are based on a close cooperation between the College of Europe and ESA’s headquarters in Paris.
This series of training sessions is intended to provide the majority of the scientific staff of ESA (about 300 officials trained until today) with a general knowledge and understanding of the EU.
The programme is based on a series of half-day training sessions providing a sound understanding of EU institutions and decision-making processes provided by academic experts of the College of Europe’s Department of Political Studies.
