The 46th session of the annual two-week seminar by ETCR (European Training Centre for Railway Management Staff) is organized in cooperation with the Development Office from June 30 till July 11. The course theme is 'Competitiveness of the European Railways'.
ETCR is an independent association of several European companies in the railway sector with the aim to provide upcoming railway management staff with updated information about the European legislation regarding transport and the latest development in organizing railway transport in the Member States of the European Union.
The aim of ETCR is to offer railway related organizations an annual seminar of two weeks on the developments within the railway sector on European level. Participants get the unique opportunity to work for two weeks in an international environment, to set up a network among colleagues from all European countries and think about the changes within their sector, as well on national as on international level. They get the opportunity to confront the changes they are working out at home with the solutions others have given to the same problems in the various European countries. ETCR offers the best conditions to get the most out of the existing information on transport and the projects set up by the European Commission, the European Parlement, the European Rail Agency, as well as the viewpoints of the European railway associations such as CER and EIM, and the customers (passengers and freight), but also competitors or allies (road transport, aviation, transport by waterways).
