On Tuesday, 23 April 2019, Professor Alvin JACKSON of the University of Edinburgh School of History, delivered a high-level lecture on "War and the disintegration of union and empire, 1914-21: The United Kingdom in comparative context".

The event was organized by the European Civilization Chair at the College of Europe Natolin campus, as part of its centennial cycle "Breaking Empires, Making Nations?", and chaired by Professor Richard BUTTERWICK-PAWLIKOWSKI.
