On 20 January 2020, the College of Europe in Natolin was pleased to host Ms Jennifer DROUIN, Community Manager working for the Amsterdam Donut Coalition and for the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, who delivered a special online lecture on the Doughnut Economy and the city of Amsterdam.

Ms DROUIN addressed questions on the nature of the Doughnut Economy, and its relevance for important capitals such as Amsterdam.

Our guest gave a short insight into the Amsterdam City Portrait and dived into the journey of the Amsterdam Doughnut Coalition, a network of about 400 individuals and 30 NGOs that all have the aim of turning the city of Amsterdam into a thriving place for people and nature. Our guest also contextualised the importance of the Doughnut Economy in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
