The European Horizons College of Europe Bruges' Chapter is delighted to announce that Mr Javier Niño PEREZ, Head of the United States of America and Canada Division of the European External Action Service, will deliver a keynote address.

In his speech, Mr Niño PEREZ will provide a general survey of the current status of transatlantic affairs, with a focus on the future of the EU-US relationship, especially in light of the United States' recent retrenchment from the international scene and with the rapidly approaching 2020 presidential elections. Mr Niño PEREZ' experience at the EEAS as Head of the United States of America and Canada Division will, without doubt, provide participants with valuable insights on the future of EU-US relations and possible areas for (future) collaboration. There will be a Q&A session after the keynote address.

European Horizons is a global, student-led policy incubator whose mission is to give young people a voice in shaping the future of Europe and of transatlantic relations. Originally founded at Yale University, European Horizons now has over sixty chapters in thirteen countries on three continents.

This event is open to the public. You can register for free using the form below (deadline: Tuesday 19 November at 10:00).
