Piano recital at the Embassy of Belgium to Poland and Lithuania in Warsaw

On Monday, 28 October 2019, a group of Natolin students (Belgians and non-Belgians) had the opportunity to go to the Embassy of Belgium to Poland and Lithuania to listen to a superb piano recital. The artist was Veronika ILTCHENKO, a Russian-born and Brussels-based pianist.

This musical evening was part of the ceremonies marking the centennial of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Poland. The location of the event, the Mniszech Palace, seat of the Embassy is also very special. It has a long-lasting musical tradition and Chopin is said to have played there several times. This musical tradition is also expressed through a series of concerts – called "Music in the Residence" – which regularly take place at the Embassy.

After the recital, a reception with some Belgian specialities was held. Some Natolin Alumni were also present at the evening and it was an opportunity for the current students to ask for advice and exchange with these former students of the College of Europe. Many thanks to the Ambassador of Belgium, H.E. Luc JACOBS, for inviting and hosting Natolin students.
