EU scheme for young professionals in Bosnia and Herzegovina – First module over!

The College of Europe Development Office is pleased to announce that the first online module of the EU Scheme for Young Professionals in BiH ended on Friday 13th November: 25 civil servants from Bosnia & Herzegovina gathered virtually over 2 weeks. In this first part, they were able to understand the EU’s dynamics and enlargement policies, its relationship with BiH and also benefit from specialised workshops on communication and negotiation skills. The participants also had the opportunity to attend key note speeches, and meet officials from the European Union and from BiH.

They will resume the on the 30th of November for the second module of their online training course, that will also last for two weeks until the 11th of December. They will further develop their knowledge on policy formulation and evaluation and also manage public efficiency in the public administration.

This represents the continuation of reform initiatives aimed at building the capacity of civil servants that was initiated within the framework of a EU-funded regional programme for the Western Balkans. The College of Europe had been involved in the 2018 and 2019 editions of that regional programme.

The College of Europe is grateful for the cooperation of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Directorate for European Integration (DEI) of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office (PARCO) and the British Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their trust in the College of Europe to design and implement this training course.

We thank again the participants for their active contribution to the first module of the training programme!
