Natolin student delegation to NMUN-NY 2018 meets with the Estonian Embassy

On 22 February 2018, the Natolin student delegation to the National Model United Nations 2018, which will represent Estonia at the simulation in New York next month, had the chance to meet with Counsellor Mr Ly METSIS from the Estonian Embassy in Warsaw.

The meeting represented an invaluable opportunity to learn more about Estonia's international priorities and national initiatives, including its recent Presidency of the Council of the EU and its bid for UN Security Council membership for 2020-2021. The discussion covered a range of diverse topics, from development cooperation, hybrid threats, and humanitarian aid, to peace and security, social integration, and gender equality – not forgetting, of course, e-Estonia's dynamic digital advances.

The meeting had a special significance, taking place during the week in which Estonia celebrates 100 years of independence. The College of Europe NMUN team looks forward to representing Estonia in New York next month.
