Roundtable: "The 2014 EP elections- really different this time?", with Mr Jo LEINEN MEP and Sir Julian PRIESTLEY

On March 17th, the Department of European Political and Administrative Studies of the College of Europe, Bruges, hosts a Roundtable on "The 2014 EP elections - really different this time?", with two high-level speakers:

 

 Mr Jo LEINEN, MEP

Jo Leinen, Member of the European Parliament since 1999 and President of the European Movement International (EMI). Chaired the European Parliament's Committees on the Environment (ENVI) and Constitutional Affairs (AFCO); former Minister of the Environment in the State Government of Saarland in Germany. Author of numerous publications, among others "Die Zukunft Europas : für eine demokratische und soziale EU" (The future of Europe: for a democratic and social Union). Co-chair of the Spinelli-Group in the EP and the Campaign for a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly (UNPA).

 

Sir Julian PRIESTLEY, former Secretary General of the EP

Now campaign adviser for Martin SCHULZ for the Commission presidency; author of several books on Europe, '6 Battles That Shaped Europe's Parliament,'; 'Europe's Parliament; People Places Politics;' (with Stephen CLARK);'Our Europe, Not Theirs' (ed), and many articles on European politics. On the boards of Votewatch and Notre Europe/ the Jacques Delors Institute.
