Opening Ceremony, Bruges campus

The Opening Ceremony of the sixty-fifth academic year of the College of Europe, Bruges campus, took place at the Saint Walburga Church on Thursday 23 October 2014 at 11.30 a.m.

Mr Mariano RAJOY, President of the Government of Spain, delivered the opening address to the students of the Falcone-Borsellino Promotion, professors, staff and invited guests of the College of Europe.

Rector Jörg MONAR presented “The College of Europe in 2014-2015” and recalled Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, Patrons of the Promotion 2014-2015.

Mr Íñigo MÉNDEZ DE VIGO, Spanish Secretary of State for the European Union and President of the Administrative Council of the College of Europe, hosted the ceremony.
