Mattia FILIPPIN

Mattia FILIPPIN was born in 1985 in Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy.

He studied Italian, European, American and Comparative Law at the University of Trento in Italy. In 2010, he participated in an exchange programme with Vermont Law School in the United States. He graduated from the University of Trento in 2011 with a Master's thesis on American law and jurisprudence titled "The American Supreme Court between Law and Politics", under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Pradi.

In 2012, he graduated from the College of Europe in Natolin with an advanced Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies. He specialized in the "EU as a Regional Actor" and wrote a Master's thesis on "The Kaliningrad Oblast: Regional Identity, Economic Development and External Dimension of Russia’s westernmost territory", under the supervision of Prof. Hannes Adomeit.

Between August 2012 and August 2016, he worked as a Senior Academic Assistant (Law) and Communications Officer at the College of Europe in Natolin. Between August 2016 and December 2017, Mattia held the position of Head of Publicity and Recruitment. In January 2018, he became the Head of the Communications, Marketing and Recruitment Office at the College of Europe in Natolin. Between August 2021 and February 2022, Mattia also covered the position of Senior Strategic Advisor. Presently, Mattia holds the position of Director of Publicity and Recruitment at the College of Europe in Natolin.

Mattia fluently speaks Italian, German, English, and French, and has an intermediate level of Polish and Spanish.
