Joanna HORNIK

Joanna is the Executive Secretary of the Global Competition Law Centre (GCLC) of the College of Europe. She works as Senior analyst in the European Competition Practice of Compass Lexecon in Brussels.

Joanna was the Academic Assistant for the European Law and Economic Analysis (ELEA) and European Public Policy Analysis (EPPA) options at the Bruges campus of the College in 2015-2017.

Academic background: MA in European Economic Studies (ELEA option) from the College of Europe, Falcone & Borsellino promotion (2014-2015). BA from University College Roosevelt in Middelburg, (The Netherlands) with a major in Economics, Political Science and International Relations, 2011-2014.

Professional experience: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland (2015), Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Poland (2014), European Parliament (2013), Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Luxembourg (2013).

Fields of interest: EU competition law and policy, intellectual property rights, public policy, network industries.
