On 10 December 2018, Professor Dirk BUSCHLE, the Chairholder of the Iberdrola Manuel Marín Chair for European Energy Policy, spoke at the COP24 in Katowice, the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, on the energy transition in the Energy Community countries. The discussion was chaired by former Commissioner Connie HEDEGAARD and opened by COP24 President Michał KURTYKA.
Professor BUSCHLE also addressed the informal meeting of EU Directors General for Energy, convened in the framework of the Austrian Council presidency on 15 November 2018 in Vienna, where he presented an input paper for the discussion on decarbonisation and energy security.
