Bernd Meyring

Bernd is a the Managing Partner for Belgium at Linklaters LLP. He specialises in competition law and related litigation, in particular in the area of merger control and cartel investigations. Bernd has significant experience with  coordinating multinational projects in both areas, as well as with representing clients at the European Commission and the German Bundeskartellamt. He has significant sector expertise in the automotive, retail, food and beverages, machinery, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics and branded consumer goods areas. He was a global sector leader for retail for four years and is now co-leading the firm’s global automotive sector. Bernd holds a Ph.D. in international law of the University of Berlin, an LLM of the College of Europe (Walter Hallstein promotion) and is an ancien élève of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (Nelson Mandela promotion). He teaches European competition law at the University of Frankfurt/Main in Germany, is widely published, a frequent speaker at conferences and recommended by all major directories (Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Legal 500, PLC, GCR).
