The GCLC is directed by Professor Damien Geradin, who teaches competition law at the University of Liège and the College of Europe.

He takes care of the daily management of the centre, proposes the centre's work programme, and implements it.
The decision-making body of the GCLC is the Scientific Council, which is composed of Rector Paul Demaret, Professors Inge Govaere and Damien Geradin, Jacques Pelkmans, and Mr. Marc Vuijlsteke (ex officio), and also includes nine leading competition lawyers and economists: Professors Jacques Bourgeois, Massimo Merola, Bernard van de Walle de Ghelcke, Denis Waelbroeck, and Richard Whish as well as Messrs. Jacques Derenne, Andrew Renshaw, Derek Ridyard, and Robbert Snelders.
The GCLC can also draw on the expertise of its prestigious honorary board comprised of Sir Christopher Bellamy, Bill Bishop, Margaret Bloom, Joseph Drexl, Einer Elhauge, Peter Freeman, Eleanor Fox, Nicholas Forwood, Laurence Idot, Valentine Korah, Santiago Martinez Lage, Aurelio Pappalardo, David Lewis, Tad Lipsky, Greg Sidak and Mario Siragusa.
