This one-year programme gives students a solid foundation in:
Many graduates go on to work for European and national institutions as
well as in the private sector.
An introductory course is available for students coming without a background in politics or European studies. It runs for two weeks prior to the beginning of the academic year.
The first semester a set of compulsory courses offers students a solid background on the political, economic, and legal functioning of the EU.
During the second semester some of the compulsory courses continue. In addition, the programme allows students to specialize in areas of interest through optional courses, a research seminar, and compact seminars.
Students also select one course from the European General Studies Programme each semester.
When not studying, students can select from a range of extracurricular academic activities. The Department also organises a study trip, workshops and conferences to complement the academic programme.
