Andrew Bower

Academic Assistant, EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies Department

Andrew Bower (UK/FR) is Academic Assistant at the College of Europe in Bruges, Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies, since August 2011.

He holds an MA in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Studies from King’s College London (2008-2009) and a BA in International Studies with Spanish from the University of Birmingham (2004-2008). He has also participated in an Erasmus programme at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid (2006-2007).

Andrew is a visiting research Fellow in the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean department at King’s College London and has previous work experience as a Blue Book intern in the Directorate General for External Relations of the European Commission (Summer 2010) and as project officer for a Brussels-based NGO working on Euro-Arab relations (2010-2011).

Fields of interest: EU foreign policy, migration and asylum policy, Euro-Arab relations and European Neighbourhood Policy to the South.
