Benjamin Barton (UK) is Research Assistant for the InBev-Baillet-Latour Chair of European Union-China Relations at the EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies Department of the College of Europe in Bruges since September 2009.

He holds an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe, Bruges (2008-2009), and a BA in European Studies from the University of Sussex, Brighton (2004-2008). He also did Erasmus studies at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (I.E.P) of Strasbourg, France (2006-2007).

Before joining the College, Benjamin Barton worked as an Intern, focusing on the Cyber Security Project, in the Worldwide Security Initiative (WSI) at the EastWest Institute in Brussels (summer 2009).

Fields of interests: EU-China-Africa relations; the EU’s Mediterranean Policies and Politics; the EU and International Development.
