
Bruno Bisson (FR) is a career diplomat currently serving as Head of the Ceremonial Branch of Protocol at the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs in Paris.
A former naval officer, Bruno Bisson has been sailing on various vessels for twelve years before turning to International Relations. He served in Beijing as Naval Attaché (1999-2002) and then joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs as a Counsellor. After a position in the field of Conventional Export Controls (2002-2006), he was Deputy Head of Mission at the French Embassy in Canberra, Australia (2006-2008).
A graduate in Strategic Affairs from Paris University and in Chinese Language and Civilisation from the Institut national de langues et civilisations orientales, Bruno Bisson attended the courses of the Institut diplomatique in 2004. He is also vice-president of the Société française d’histoire maritime. He already gave several lectures on Protocol issues at the College of Europe in Natolin, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Institut national du Patrimoine and at the Ecole nationale d’administration in Paris.
