Elspeth Guild

Visiting professor, EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies Department

Elspeth Guild (CA/UK) is Professor of European Immigration Law at Radboud University Nijmegen (2002-present); Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels (2005-present); and partner at the London law firm Kingsley Napley.

She holds a Ph.D. in sociology of law from Radboud University Nijmegen 1999) and is the author of numerous books and articles on the development of the EU, particularly in the area of justice and home affairs and the creation of an area of freedom, security and justice.

Fields of interest: EU justice and home affairs with specific reference to rights of citizens, migration, borders and asylum.
