Erwan Lannon (FR) teaches at the College of Europe since 2004. He is Professor in the EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies Department in Bruges and Visiting Professor in the European Interdisciplinary Studies Department in Natolin. He is Professor in European Law at the Faculty of Law of the Ghent University since 2002.

He holds a Master’s degree in International Politics and Strategic Studies from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and a Ph.D. in European Law from the Université de Rennes I. He has notably worked as Researcher at Ghent University and then as an expert for several EU institutions, the EU Institute for Strategic Studies, Euromed networks and as consultant for the United Nations (UNDP) and the European International Movement.

He has published widely on EU’s external relations, including: The European Neighbourhood Policy's Challenges / Les défis de la politique européenne de voisinage (2012), Les défis de l’adhésion de la Turquie à l’Union européenne (edited with Joël Lebullenger, 2006) and The EU’s Enlargement and Mediterranean Strategies: A Comparative Analysis (edited with Marc Maresceau, 2001).
