Francesca Fenton (UK) is an Academic Assistant at the College of Europe in Bruges and has been working for the EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies department since August 2011.

Last year she completed the IRD programme and now holds an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies. Prior to joining the college she obtained an MA in Politics at the University of Edinburgh (2005-2009), and also took part in an Erasmus exchange programme at Sciences Po, Paris (2007-2008).

Francesca has previously been a teaching assistant in Nanjing, China and has worked in the UK’s domestic policy field in London, dealing primarily with disadvantaged young people.

Fields of interest: diplomacy, British and EU defence policies, the enlargement of the EU, energy policy, political risk and relations between the EU and China.
