Gino Brunswijck

Research Assistant (InBev Baillet Latour Chair), EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies Department

Gino Brunswijck (BE) is a Research Assistant for the Inbev-Baillet Latour Chair of European Union-China Relations at the EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies Department of the College of Europe in Bruges.

He graduated from the University of Antwerp in Economics and in International Affairs. His Master’s theses both dealt with issues of development and conflict resolution in Africa. Gino also holds a Master of Arts in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe (Marcus Aurelius Promotion). In his Master’s thesis he compared EU development cooperation to China’s Africa policy.

Before joining the College, Gino worked as a researcher for a Belgian NGO, where he conducted studies on migration and development issues. He also worked as an intern for the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Assistance. Gino has presented several papers on development and conflict resolution issues at international conferences as a freelance researcher.
