Hanspeter Neuhold

Visiting professor, EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies Department

Hanspeter Neuhold (AT) is professor of public international law and International Relations at the University of Vienna, Austria. He also teaches at the Diplomatic Academy Vienna. Professor Neuhold is a member of the advisory board of the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany, and was Visiting Professor at Carleton, Stanford and Leiden University.

He studied law at the University of Vienna and political science at the Institut des hautes études internationales in Paris, France. During his 40 years of professional experience, Professor Neuhold has been a member of the Austrian delegation to several UN and CSCE conferences and was a member of the High-Level Expert Group on the CFSP advising European Commissioner Hans van den Broek.

Professor Neuhold has published widely in the fields of international law, International Relations, international security policy, European integration, in particular the CFSP and ESDP of the EU, and transatlantic relations.
