Hugo de Melo Palma (PT) is Academic Assistant at the College of Europe (Bruges), Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies since August 2009.

He holds a degree in International Relations, with a specialisation in Latin American Politics, from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the Technical University of Lisbon (2004-2008), and an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe (2008-2009, Marcus Aurelius promotion).

Previous work experience with the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Portuguese Atlantic Committee.

Fields of interest: ESDP, CFSP, Diplomacy, Portuguese Foreign and Security Policy, Brazil.
