Obtained a Master of Business Administration at the Antwerp Business School/JL Kellogg School of Business Administration, Northwestern University, Evanston, Chicago, USA (1984-1986, major : Finance).

Financial Manager at Fidumob, fiduciary of CERES, from 1985 to 1986.
Managing Consultant at Ernst&Young Management Consultants from 1986 to 1997

He joined the College of Europe in Bruges in April 1997, taking up the post of Director of Finance.
From October 1998 he combined this function with that of Director of Administration, which included responsibility for general College administration and human resources.
Since June 2009 he is also Director of the College of Europe’s Development Office.
