Kurt Wagner

Kurt Wagner (DE) is since July 2009 Regional Director of Central Asia of the German development agency GTZ (Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit) in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. He has been an advisor responsible for contract and cooperation management, impact monitoring and quality management at the GTZ head office in Eschborn, Germany, as well as a project manager, consultant and trainer. He gained very broad professional experience in development cooperation projects in Afghanistan, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan and India.

Kurt Wagner graduated from the University of Kassel, Germany, in International Agriculture and studied Sociology and Ethnology at the University of Frankfurt before obtaining a Ph.D. in History from the University of Kassel. He holds additional qualifications in organisation development and mediation.
