Focused on competition law and specialised in procedural competition matters, as well as in competition in the transport markets. Lecturer in Private International Law at the Universidad Complutense, Madrid. Director of the Annual EC and Spanish Competition Law Programme at the IEB (Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles), Madrid.

Member of the Madrid Bar.

Secretary General of FIDE (Fédération Internationale pour le Droit Européen) and of the AEDE (Asociación Española para el Estudio del Derecho Europeo, Spanish group within FIDE). President of the AEDC (Asociación Española para la Defensa de la Competencia, Spanish group within the Ligue International du Droit de la Concurrence, LIDC). Member of the AEDM (Asociación Española de Derecho Marítimo, Spanish group within the Comité Maritime International, CMI).
