Judge at the Landgericht Kiel from 1969 till at present.

Activities in Civil Law, Criminal Law, Planning Law between 1969 and 1972. At present on leave.

Administration: Since 1972 with the European Commission, in the areas of consumer protection policy and environmental policy.

Successively Head of Unit of Legal Affairs, Waste waste management and environmental governance (present position) in DG Environment.
