Phedon A. Nicolaides

Visiting professor, European Law and Economic Analysis

Professor at the European Institute of Public Administration, Maastricht and Advisor to the Cyprus Commissioner on State Aid.

Educated in the US, UK and the Netherlands. Previously held academic positions at the London Business School and the Royal Institute of International Affairs, London.

Prof. Nicolaides also served as Minister Plenipotentiary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus and as Secretary-General of the Cyprus Shipping Council. He used to be Member of the Cyprus Competition Commission and of the ad-hoc academic advisory group on state aid of DG Competition in the European Commission.

Author of fifteen books and numerous academic papers. Member of the the editorial boards of several journals including "Intereconomics" and "Legal Issues of Economic Integration".
