Erwan Lannon is a professor at Ghent University, Ghent European Law Institute. He also teaches at the College of Europe on the Bruges campus (Depts. International Relations and Diplomatic Studies of the European Union & European Political and Administrative Studies) and Warsaw campuses (Dept. European Interdisciplinary Studies) and at the European Diplomatic Academy. He specializes in the field of European Union external relations and international and strategic relations (with a particular focus on the European Neighborhood Policy, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and the EU's proximity strategies, as well as EU-Africa and Asia-Pacific and Indian Ocean relations) as well as in EU institutional and constitutional law. He is active in various networks and expert groups and has worked as a consultant and international expert for several EU institutions and international organizations (EEAS, European Commission, European Parliament, UNCTAD-UNDP, European Movement International, Euromesco, Euromed IHEDN, etc.). He has also worked as Director of Studies at the Warsaw campus of the College of Europe and as a researcher and Head of Office of the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EEAS) at the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU.
