Richard Youngs (UK) is Senior Fellow at Carnegie Europe, Brussels and Professor of International Relation at the University of Warwick in the UK. He previously held positions as director of FRIDE in Madrid; senior fellow at the Transatlantic Academy in Washington, DC; EU Marie Curie research fellow at the Norwegian Institute for International Relations, Oslo; and senior analyst at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
He has a PhD and an MA in International Studies from the University of Warwick and a BA in Social and Political Science from the University of Cambridge.
Youngs has authored 17 books, most recently Democratic Crossroads (OUP, 2024) and Geoliberal Europe and the Test of War (Agenda 2024).
