Valentin DUPOUEY-STERDYNIAK

Valentin Dupouey-Sterdyniak joined the College of Europe as Director of External Relations, Communications, and Events in April 2023.

Prior to joining the College, Valentin worked as Head of Communications for the European Green Party for over three years. He has a diverse background in European-wide civil society organizations, particularly in the fields of youth, sports, and education. Notably, he was Secretary General of JEF Europe - the Young European Federalists from 2016 to 2018, and he recently authored the advocacy toolkit of the European Youth Forum (https://www.youthforum.org/files/220201-Advocacy-Toolkit.pdf).

He holds a Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Lorraine and a Master’s degree in European Policies and Public Affairs from Sciences Po Strasbourg.

He regularly writes on his blog (https://aeuropeancitizen.wordpress.com) about professional development in the Eurobubble, European active citizenship, European civil society, and EU-funded project management.

His professional interests cover European civil society and its role in the development of the European project, debating the existence of the European public sphere, and EU-funded project management.

Outside of the office, he is a competitive badminton player, a sport he has been playing for over 20 years, an expert mushroom-picker and avid birdwatcher.
