Daniel TORRES PORTILLA

Daniel Torres Portilla (ES) joined the European Diplomatic Academy management team as Project Assistant in August 2022. He holds an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe (2020-2021, Mario Soares Promotion), an MA in Diplomacy and International Relations (2016-2017) from the Diplomatic School of Spain and a BA in Political Science (2011-2015) from University CEU Cardinal Herrera in Valencia.

Prior to joining the College of Europe, Daniel worked in the Russia Division of the European External Action Service (EEAS) as interimaire from March to July 2022. He also was a Blue Book trainee at the Cabinet of the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice president of the European Commission, Mr. Josep Borrell (Oct 2021 – Feb 2022). He has also worked as Research Assistant and Lecturer at the University CEU Cardinal Herrera (Dec 2018 to August 2020) where he taught International and Diplomatic Law. Before that academic role, he did an internship at the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C. (2017-2018). He has also studied and worked in Oxford (2015-2018).
