10 years United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies in Bruges

<p>This year the United Nations University in Bruges (UNU-CRIS) celebrates its 10th anniversary. As you all know, UNU-CRIS is a research and training institute of the United Nations University established in the premises of the Episcopal Seminary in Bruges, with headquarters in Tokyo. Moreover, UNU-CRIS works in close collaboration with the College of Europe. It is in reference to this 10th anniversary that we would like to invite you, as a colleague and staff member of the College of Europe, to the following events on Sunday, 11 September 2011:

</p><p>

at 9:30 we begin with an exclusive guided tour (in Dutch) through the premises of the Episcopal Seminary in connection with the Open Monument Days on 10 and 11 September. We will meet at the front garden of the Episcopal Seminary. Pascale Vantorre and her husband Peter Loos will be your guides for the day.

</p><p>

at 10:30 Luk Van Langenhove, Director UNU-CRIS, will deliver a public lecture about the UN and armed conflict (in Dutch) in the auditorium of the Episcopal Seminary. During this presentation he will discuss the armed conflicts that occur on an international level.

</p><p>

at 11:15, after the public lecture, you are more than welcome to join us at the reception, where you can enjoy some snacks and drinks in the UNU-CRIS offices. A unique occasion to visit our offices in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

</p><p>Please note that though the guided tour and the public lecture will be held in Dutch, we would much appreciate your presence. Furthermore, in order to organise everything smoothly we would like you to confirm you attendance by filling in the personal information through the application form. Please send this through internal post mail or  via e-mail to Pascale Vantorre (<a  href='mailto:pvantorre@cris.unu.edu'>pvantorre@cris.unu.edu</a>) before 15 August 2011.

We look forward to seeing you on 11 September 2011. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us by phone (+32 50 47 11 00).
