KOURTELIS Christos - The Political Economy of the European Neighbourhood Policy (20h)

This course examines the political economy of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). It perceives the ENP as an interface between political actors and economic forces from both the EU and its neighbouring countries. Through this prism, the course explores the impact of the ENP in the (re)production and (re)distribution of resources in the ENP partner countries. The course is based on lectures and seminars, which will provide the platform for in-depth discussions about the winners and losers of the ENP; the contribution of the ENP in the transformation of the economic environment of the partner countries and to what extent the EU approach to the development of the neighbouring countries has changed after the crises in its borders. // ECTS Card
