The College of Europe Natolin campus, in cooperation with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute and the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, inaugurated the exhibition "Chopin Without Boundaries, Winners of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition" in the main hallway of the Retinger Residence at the Natolin campus.
The exhibition presents the portraits of 1st Prize Winners recorded during the competitions from a collection of the most distinguished pianists from the 20th and 21st centuries. The 17th Competition took place from 1 to 21 October 2015. The final results of the competition were announced on 20 October 2015 and were followed by a Grand Final Concert on 21 October 2015. This exhibition was completed with a portrait of the 2015 Winner of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. A poster of the exhibition can be downloaded here.
The International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, organized for the first time in 1927, takes place in Warsaw every five years. Its exceptional standing attracts the most outstanding pianists of the younger generation, from all over the world.
