On Wednesday, 12 February 2020, the Natolin Security and Defence Society (NSDS) held an Oxford-style debate with Natolin students and international experts. Together, they addressed whether the EU should have its own army.

Defending the EU having its own army: Mr Atef AMRI, Ms Laura TALJA, and Mr Frédéric MAURO, J.D., Associate Research Fellow at the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs and Lawyer specialised in defence and security matters. In opposition: Mr Enguerrand BOURGOIS, Ms Olga PUGACH, and Prof. Rob DE WIJK, Professor at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University and Founder of the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies.
