The 2020 Public Sector Innovation Award

A partir de 15:00 till 16:00
Online event

The European Political and Governance Studies Department is glad to invite the College community to the 2020 Public Sector Innovation Award.

The ceremony marks the end of the 2020 edition of the European Centre for Government Transformation, an extracurricular project in partnership with Accenture and the Lisbon Council.

Founded in 2009 as a leading research centre and practitioner-driven community, the European Centre for Government Transformation is dedicated to providing pragmatic and actionable solutions designed to help government agencies and other public-service organisations improve the social, economic and health outcomes of the people they serve through delivery of increased and improved public services. It is a new kind of ideas and solutions hub that recognises the interdisciplinary nature of state transformation and public-sector modernisation.

For nearly a year, three teams of 4 students of the European Political and Governance Studies Department have worked on a public-sector challenge, bringing their ideas and academic achievements to bear on the very public-administration challenges that civil servants face. The students have been coached and mentored by a team of consultants from Accenture. Their final work has been evaluated by a jury of leading European civil servants led by Gertrud INGESTAD, Director-General for Human Resources and Security at the European Commission. At this closing conference, each team will present the final version of their work, and the winner of The 2020 Public Sector Innovation Award will be announced.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 23 June 2020, from 15:00 to 16:00 (more information in the attached programme).

The conference will be hosted online via the WebEx platform in compliance with COVID-19 measures of the Belgian Government.
