Training course on "Civil Society Involvement in the EU Accession Process" from 2 to 4 October 2019

For the third year running, the College of Europe Development Office has collaborated with the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) for the design and implementation of an executive programme on "Civil Society Involvement in the EU Accession Process".

The Executive Programme, which took place on 2-4 October 2019 in Pristina, targeted top-level executives of civil society organizations in the Western Balkans, who are committed to engage into advocacy actions and have thematic focus on EU affairs.

For this reason, the programme comprised three main modules:

  • Crash course on the EU, the Western Balkans and Enlargement;
  • EU Fact Finding;
  • The Enlargement Policy and strategic and tactical approaches for accession.

The participants had the opportunity to better understand how the EU works, how to find information on the EU and relevant legislation, how to approach enlargement, as well as understanding the challenges and opportunities ahead.

This programme was delivered with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
