After Dinner lecture of the Energy Policy Chair with Mr Guy LENTZ

On 6 March 2018, Mr Guy LENTZ, Special Adviser on energy issues to EU Commissioner CAÑETE and Coordinator for EU and international energy policies for Luxembourg, had an exchange with the students of the Energy Group on his experience in the field of Energy Policy at the invitation of the Energy Chair.

After being introduced by a member of the Student Energy Group, Mr LENTZ held an interactive session during which he discussed several topical subjects in energy policy and answered questions of students. The lecture was followed by a reception in the Foyer of Dijver.

Mr LENTZ has extensive experience working in the European institutions and as a representative for the Duchy of Luxembourg. He has in the past functioned, among others, as a representative of the EU Council in the Administrative Board of ACER, was a diplomatic attaché (energy counsellor) in the Permanent Representation of Luxembourg and was a member of its delegation to COP15, was vice-chair of the second general assembly of IRENA.  He also teaches at ESPOL (Catholic University Lille) and is currently an adjunct senior lecturer at UNI lu (University Luxembourg) on energy challenges, and a Member of the ENOVOS Board of Directors.

Mr Guy LENTZ is an alumnus of the College of Europe (Promotion Altiero Spinelli).
