On 11 December 2021, the Nordic Christmas/Hygge celebration took place. This event, organised by the Nordic Society at the College of Europe in Natolin, saw special Scandinavian-origin additions to the restaurant menu at lunch, after which a Christmas activity took place in Retinger. Students were invited to compete to assemble miniature gingerbread homes, under the oversight of the Nordic Society organisers. The activity was accompanied by tea, biscuits and hot wine (gloegg), courtesy of the Natolin Restaurant.
The assembled pieces collectively comprised a miniature gingerbread ‘village’ which has been left on display in the lobby, alongside the existing installation of student photos.
