The College of Europe (European General Studies programme) organises an end of the year colloquium entitled “30 years after the anthropological report on the European Commission: where does anthropology stand and what does it tell us about the European institutions?” on the 20/21 June 2022.
Thirty years after the intellectual avenue opened by the report of Abeles, Bellier and McDonald on the Delors Commission, many studies have continued to use the anthropological and ethnographic approach to study the European institutions. What developments have occurred in this field of study? What readings of institutions does it lead to and what debate does it engage with the European civil service actors?
To answer to these questions, the Colloquium will bring together a group of distinguished speakers from academia and the European institutions. If you can attend in presence, some of the sessions will be retransmitted via livestream.
