Anis holds an advanced master's degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe, and a master's degree in Cultural Management from the École National Supérieur de Sciences d’Information et des Bibliothèques (ENSSIB) in Lyon. He has over 10 years of experience in international cooperation that he gained through his work in the Library of Alexandria, the French Embassy in Cairo, the Swedish Institute Alexandria, and the International Organization for Migration (the UN migration agency).

Moreover, Anis is writing his PhD about the identity of Middle East Christian minorities, in the École Pratique des Hautes Études.

Anis has been working at the College of Europe in Natolin since July 2020.
