Dr Emile Badarin joined the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair on 1 September 2018 as a Post-doctoral Fellow.

He holds a PhD in Middle East Politics from the University of Exeter, an MSc in International Relations from the University of Bristol, an MSc in Political Science from Uppsala University and an MSc in Urban and Built Environment from the  Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Sweden). 

Dr Badarin’s research cuts across fields of international politics and foreign policy, with the Middle East and EU as areas of study. He also has a special interest in Israel-Palestine studies, discourse analysis, settler-colonialism and practice and critical theories. Dr Badarin’s ongoing research combines conceptual and empirical research in international politics and uses a methodology that maximises the explanatory advantage of mixing critical theory with the practice turn.
